Brass Trios

  Personally, I feel that brass trios are an arrangement that gets heavily overshadowed by the brass quintet. I would love to see more brass trios performing and of course some more repertoire for them. Besides having a completely different sound than a quintet, the trio is usually much better suited to players in smaller/rural areas that might not have access to enough members to form a quality quintet.



  Below, I felt like posting a few recordings from high quality brass trios that can hopefully inspire performers, and composers, to give this instrumentation the boost it needs...
